Why you should service your car regularly

By arranging to have your car regularly serviced, you are reducing the risk of it breaking down and incurring costly repairs.

The date a service is due depends on the car’s mileage and age and also the manufacturer. Most modern vehicles have a service indicator light which shows when the service is due dependent on age, mileage or oil quality.

A vehicle can have two types of service: interim and full. An interim service has main action points including engine oil change, oil filter change and various checks & adjustments. A full service includes all the interim service changes as well as additional ones. These can include various filter replacements, checking or replenishing various fluid levels including transmission fluid in addition to replacement spark plugs for petrol vehicles.
